Sculpture

Growing up on a farm surrounded by carpenters and furniture makers I was rarely without inspiration. Wood carving naturally became my hobby and I soon developed a deep understanding of the behaviour of different types of wood. Inspiration is found from the world around and often this can be the piece of wood itself. Creating the image of a living organism from natural materials gives respect both to the tree and the animal I seek to create.
